Terms of Service

1. Agreement and service operator

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Scoreyo for the Scoreyo website, applications, learning tools, community features, subscriptions, and support services (together, the Service). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

Scoreyo operates from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Legal and support contact: support@scoreyo.in. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled and forms part of these Terms. Terms shown at checkout form part of the relevant order.

2. Eligibility, registration, and account security

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement. Scoreyo does not currently provide a verified parental-consent flow. If you are under 18, do not create an account or submit personal data; a parent or lawful guardian should contact us before any proposed use.

• Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
• Keep your email account, OTPs, session, and device secure. Do not share access credentials.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
• You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
• Do not create multiple accounts to evade plan limits, restrictions, or enforcement.

3. The Scoreyo Service

Scoreyo provides study guides, quizzes, mock tests, flashcards, Tutor, lecture notes, progress tools, games, community and group features, and related exam-preparation services. Availability, usage limits, supported exams, and compatibility can vary by plan, account, device, region, and release stage.

Scoreyo is an independent educational service. Unless expressly stated, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCERT, NTA, UPSC, an examination board, a university, YouTube, Google, or another third party. Check exam rules, syllabi, dates, answer keys, and eligibility against the relevant official source.

4. Plans, subscriptions, and feature limits

• The price, term, included features, quotas, taxes, and promotion shown at purchase form part of your order.
• Plans are prepaid for the displayed term unless checkout clearly identifies recurring billing.
• We will not begin recurring billing unless the checkout describes it and you separately authorize the payment mandate.
• For recurring plans, cancellation prevents a later renewal but normally does not reverse the current paid period.
• Usage limits may reset on the schedule shown for the plan. Unused quota has no cash value and does not roll over unless expressly stated.
• A plan is personal to the account holder and may not be shared, transferred, or resold.

5. Payments, taxes, cancellations, and refunds

Payments are processed by Razorpay or another provider identified at checkout. The provider's terms and privacy notice apply to payment processing. Scoreyo receives transaction status and identifiers, not your full card details, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking credentials. You authorize reasonable payment, fraud, and verification checks needed to complete the transaction.

A fixed-term plan normally remains available until its stated end date. Deleting the app, ceasing use, or deleting your Scoreyo account does not itself cancel an external payment mandate. Cancel recurring billing through the method shown with the plan or contact support before the renewal date.

Refund eligibility depends on the checkout terms, the nature and timing of the issue, benefit already consumed, and applicable consumer law. Request help promptly at support@scoreyo.in with the registered email and payment or order identifier. Nothing in these Terms removes a non-waivable consumer right.

6. Service and promotional communications

You agree to receive communications necessary to operate your account or fulfill a request, including OTPs, receipts, security alerts, subscription notices, material legal changes, and support replies. These are transactional communications and may continue while the account or relevant transaction exists.

Optional promotional messages may be sent only as permitted by applicable law and the preferences available to you. You may opt out through the provided unsubscribe method or by contacting support. Opting out of promotions does not stop necessary transactional messages.

7. Your content, uploads, and recordings

You retain ownership of content you submit, including documents, recordings, prompts, notes, flashcards, posts, and answers. You grant Scoreyo and its contracted processors a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, format, transcribe, analyze, display, and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service and comply with law.

The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to lawful retention, content already shared publicly, an active dispute, and protected backup cycles. You promise that you have the necessary rights and permissions for everything you submit.

For recordings, obtain legally valid consent from every identifiable speaker and follow classroom, workplace, confidentiality, and recording rules. Do not upload confidential exams, copyrighted books, private conversations, or another person's personal data without authority.

8. Community, groups, and sharing

Content posted to a community or group is visible according to the audience shown by the feature. Public content and public links may be viewed, copied, quoted, or reshared by others. Review the audience before publishing and do not disclose personal, confidential, infringing, or unsafe material.

We may moderate, restrict, remove, preserve, or report content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate a report, or comply with law. We do not guarantee that every contribution is reviewed before publication or that user-provided content is accurate.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, impersonate another person, or submit content you have no right to use;
• harass, threaten, exploit, sexualize, or endanger another person, including a child;
• upload malware, probe security, evade rate limits, interfere with the Service, or access data or accounts without authority;
• scrape, bulk-download, copy, resell, redistribute, frame, reverse engineer, or use the Service or its content to train another model except where law expressly permits and cannot be restricted;
• automate activity, manipulate scores, abuse public links, spam, or bypass subscription or feature limits;
• use Scoreyo to cheat in a live or restricted assessment or violate academic-integrity rules.

10. AI-generated and educational content

Some questions, explanations, summaries, flashcards, study plans, transcripts, notes, Tutor responses, search results, and visuals are generated or transformed using AI. AI may misunderstand source material, omit context, produce incorrect formulas or citations, or present plausible but inaccurate output. AI output is not guaranteed to be expert-reviewed before display.

Use Scoreyo as a study aid and verify important information against textbooks, official syllabi, official answer keys, and qualified teachers. You remain responsible for academic submissions and exam conduct. Scoreyo does not guarantee a score, rank, admission, scholarship, selection, or other outcome.

Report suspected errors through an available reporting control or by emailing support. We may correct, remove, label, or replace content, but do not promise a fixed review time unless law requires one.

11. Scoreyo and third-party intellectual-property rights

The Service's software, design, branding, original content, databases, and compilations are owned by Scoreyo or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms and your plan, Scoreyo grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial study.

Third-party books, exam papers, names, marks, videos, and other materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. YouTube videos are streamed from YouTube and governed by the YouTube Terms and Google Privacy Policy.

You may submit a copyright or rights complaint to support@scoreyo.in with identification of the work, the disputed material and location, your contact details, and a good-faith explanation. We may request verification before acting.

12. Availability, updates, and third-party services

We work to keep the Service reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access. Maintenance, security incidents, internet failures, provider outages, legal requirements, and product changes can affect availability. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. If a material paid feature is discontinued during an active term, we will provide a reasonable substitute, credit, or remedy where required by law.

13. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using Scoreyo at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Notice. Account deletion is irreversible, does not automatically cancel an external payment mandate, and may not remove public content already copied or lawfully shared by others.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate security or legal risk, protect users, prevent fraud, address a valid unpaid amount, or respond to a material breach. Except where immediate action is needed, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach. Provisions that should logically survive—such as ownership, completed payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes, and lawful retention—continue after termination.

14. Disclaimers and user responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every question, answer, explanation, prediction, recommendation, transcription, link, or user contribution is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your circumstances.

You are responsible for your device, internet access, study decisions, backups of important source material, and interactions with other users. Third-party services and content are controlled by their providers, and Scoreyo is not responsible for their independent acts, terms, availability, or security.

15. Limitation of liability and indemnity

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability, warranty, or a consumer remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Subject to that rule, Scoreyo is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential loss, or loss caused by an event outside our reasonable control.

For claims that may lawfully be limited, Scoreyo's aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Scoreyo for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for a third-party claim, loss, or reasonable cost caused by your unlawful content, your infringement of another person's rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by Scoreyo's own breach, negligence, or wilful misconduct.

16. Governing law, grievances, and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Send service, payment, content, or consumer complaints to support@scoreyo.in with the registered email, relevant order or content reference, dates, and requested resolution. We will investigate and respond within the period required by applicable law.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other jurisdiction available under applicable law, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction.

17. General terms and changes

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or this agreement without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, the Privacy Notice, and terms shown with a purchase are the entire agreement for the Service. If order-specific terms conflict with these general Terms, the order-specific terms govern that order to the extent of the conflict.

We may update these Terms when the Service, business, or law changes. We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material change where required. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed purchase unless law permits it. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply to later use.
